Good points all around GreenTiger.I just visited NYC the first of the month and visited Ground Zero. I said that very thing while standing there. I read it all the time.. and my views are sometimes referred to as racist..I don't believe I am. Canadians welcome people from all over the world and most of them integrate without problems. The problems seems to be the vast difference between the Islamic philosophy and religion and the philosophy of western civilization and Christianity or other non Islmamic religions. Here we have the right to freedom of religion etc and that is extended to immigrants. The line becomes drawn when we are asked to change our values and religious beliefs by those who immigrate.. and that my friend is a big NO! We also have equality of the sexes, which apparently you in the Islamic culture don't and that too is a difficult issue. Women do not walk out and about in society with their heads and faces covered and neither does anyone else who isn't in the process of committing crimes. There are many many issues regarding the Mulsim immigration to Canada and unless things change for the better it won't be relsolved any time soon. To play the racist card evey time someone say whoa! this is wrong, is just prolonging the issue. There is also a growing resentment to Muslims who immigrate with multiple wives and those wives go on welfare. As well as men who immigrate and go on welfare.. esp. in Québec. Unless you can work and support your family ( meaning one wife) then you shouldn't be allowed in Canada... now is that racist? Je crois pas!
