RUEZ RUEZ:
I sympathize with her. I too have lived next to rednecks with children who rode an atv back and forth all friggin day. Hence my hatred for living near anyone.

Me too.

I've got neighbours who ride their ATVs/snowmobiles up and down the street far too often for my liking.

There are other ways to deal with the issue though. I would have suggested something like waiting until they have a party and then deciding to mow her lawn for the entire time it's going (turn on her lawnmower, push it to full throttle and then go back in side and watch TV). My mother did that to a neighbour once when I was a teenager, in retaliation for his kids playing loud rap music all day long. After that, the kids played their music at a more reasonable level.

I like Dick's idea of a perfect neighborhood where you only have to worry about the neighbors that want to eat you for lunch.

She has shown herself to be completely unreasonable. She doesn't have final say on what activities her neighbours can engage in on their own property.

That's strange, I would say the complete opposite. She reacted out of frustration due to an unreasonable neighbour.

My current neighbor hates my snoring. I can understand their frustration but it really fucks up my sleep to be awoken to someone banging on the ceiling. After they've woken me up after my coffee I just practice on my bass without head phones for an hour or so.

You want me awake ? Here you go fuckers enjoy some heavey metal bass scales.

Quoting the obnoxious topless woman...

$1:
"Going topless was only a stepping stone to the end result," she said, noting she wants the ATV riding on the property "100 feet from my house" to stop altogether.

$1:
Asked if a shorter time period would be acceptable, De Florio said: "I don't want (the boy) to be on the ATV when I am home.

Quoting the family next door...

$1:
Michael Berry said he and his wife have tried to be good neighbours with De Florio, but feels De Florio's demand for no more ATV riding is out-of-touch with rural sensibilities. "There should be some give and take," said Berry.

Because of the escalating tension with his neighbour, Berry said his grandson rides only 15 minutes at a time now and is told to stay near the back of the house to muffle the sound from De Florio's property.

Who seems more reasonable and open to compromise to you?

Wow, that must be some snoring. But it's not as if you can help it. How about talking to your neighbor, getting them to understand this and that banging on the ceiling does nothing. Maybe bring him/her some ear plugs as a peace offering and a way for both of you to get some sleep.

If your snoring is that bad, have you been checked for sleep apnea - that's a pretty serious condition.

Some people need surgery on the soft palate or their nose. My wife's entire family is like that. At night it was like a monster truck rally. I kid you not that I could hear my father in law snoring over thunder, a fan and two closed doors....now everyone in hell has to deal with it.

No I haven't but my father has sleep apnea and is plugged in when he sleeps.

Yeah, I should probably get that taken care of.
