acidcomplex acidcomplex: i dont have radar , do these choppers? actually since you guys are pilots please tell me what other navigation instruments these choppers have, or lack of that would make a 1 second laser beam cause them to crash, please http://www.canadaka.net/modules.php?nam ... &album=275I'm not a full pilot but have flown a fighter aircraft and landed it and have flown many smaller types. None including this helicopter have radar for anything but weather. It's instruments only and if you can't see them because you've been blinded............radar won't help.

Regina Regina: acidcomplex acidcomplex: EyeBrock EyeBrock: and the reason you cant tint you front windows is so the cops can see in it that's all
Yeah............nothing to with the fact you can't see out of it at night. newsflash, they make tint espicaly for the front shield and it apparently only reduces vision by 5 percent. trying to find a link to the site. honestly cant say if its true as ive never actually seen it live, but it does exist apparently

acidcomplex acidcomplex: Guy_Fawkes Guy_Fawkes: acidcomplex acidcomplex: lol are these guys flying a ship from the 1800's or a modern one with multimillion dollar instruments?. Perhaps even this thing called radar? A simple coating on the windshield of these aircraft and problem solved. I guess 2k for coating a windshield is too much when your spending 2 million. Not to mention if a laser sight brings them down we have a WHOLE other problem Here try this test tonight, hop on your bicycle tonight and go zipping around with sunglasses rated to protect you from a green laser, then see if you crash. i dont have radar , do these choppers? actually since you guys are pilots please tell me what other navigation instruments these choppers have, or lack of that would make a 1 second laser beam cause them to crash, please See, these aircraft that you call 'choppers', well the chaps that fly them have these special pilot-dude things called 'eyes'. Laser beams and 'eyes' have some areas of conflict. As in pointing a laser directly into eyes stops the eyes ability to see. I hope my expert input helped.

Here's a bigger news flash.........why would anyone in their right mind want to reduce any of their nighttime visibility??

How about you do an experiment Acid, get your buddy to zap you in the eyes with a laser then try and do something that requires all of your attention. Or hell try this, take a bulb, stare at it for 10 second then try and read. Notice how you have a black dot, that something similar to what happens when you get a laser in the eyes. If you are unable to effecivly read, you are unable to pilot a helecopter.

You mean they don't make aircraft instrumentation readable in Braille? That seems awfully discriminatory to the blind pilots of the world.

No they do not have that type of sensor only an altitude gauge. Answer........hopefully when you want to land.

lol it did thanks. sorry but if a momentary flash from a laser beam from some guy 1000 feet away crashes you into a bulding you must have been pretty damn close to it considering that the flash would have lasted for what half a second? meaning you were half a second away from crashing in the first place? sorry IMO doesn't make sense to me

They are called 'navigation lights'. Red to port, green to starboard. It goes back to maritime navigation lights. All aircraft have them. They are to signal direction of movement, speed and size of the aircraft. Funnily enough they are not lasers.
