I wouldnt write them off as problem adults, and I want this woman punished not rehabiliated. Twelve years of constant abuse would be a good start for her in my book.

4 years is pretty good. I just hope it isn't reversed on appeal because it's outside the usual range. But where the fuck were children's services for 12 years?

If nobody knows, nobody can do anything. It was her 14 year old that complained and got the ball rolling.

If the abuse was severe enough, it would have left bruises and other marks. Plenty of abused kids are identified this way in school. Either the abuse was not very severe, this woman was really smart in hiding it, or mostly likely nobody gave a shit.

You don't get bruises from your head held under water. And as a 7 year old (or something) you are not telling anything to anyone when you have 7 sibling-allies.

To Quote my fave Slipknot song People=Shit (present company excluded of course), I'm about ready to move to some wilderness and fend for myself, the more I read everyday the more disenchanted with the world I become.

She held one girl underwater one time. As the story says, she was also beating the kids - that leaves marks. The kids wouldn't tell, but the teachers should have been observant.

If this is the story that makes you move, you haven't been paying attention. Much worse shit than this going down every day.

Oh certainly not just this story, seems for every 1 small step forward we make as a species there are a plethora of stories similar or worse that make me wonder how we haven't yet managed to destroy ourselves outright. Today though a media free hermit like existance seems closer than ever, just venting mostly.

After I reading watching everything Richard Proenneke it's a inviting way to live the rest of your years. Hard work but simple living.
