2Cdo 2Cdo: Brenda Brenda: Depends on what class you use. For entrepeneur class, you don't need a sponsor, for skilled worker class, you don't need a sponsor. For skilled worker, a copy of a passport of a family member gives you 5 points, but thats all.
So, unless he came thru family class, you do NOT need a sponsor. Nope. Maybe I should get my cousin to call you and sort this out, as you are an expert on immigration and immigration policy. Methinks more than you. Other than that, read the damned link.

In this particular case you don't know shit, and refuse to accept that you aren't near as sharp as you think. This also wasn't the first time I've seen ENGLISH applicants treated worse than non-English. But I'm sure you'll tell me that I'm wrong.

QBall QBall: Since he only has a visa I take it he doesn't have citizenship, therefore Immigration should be able to deport his sorry ass, right? Nope, if you read the story, Kenney (immigration minister) himself says nothing can be done. Very hard to prove he planned this or the marriage just broke down. As Kenney has said, the answer is a qualifying period like they have in US - your marriage breaks down in less than 3 years and you are outta here. I don't know how much this would solve - he'd go thru the motions for 3 years and then still be free and clear.

If someone can prove fraud, then lets deport him.
If the best we have are the hurt feelings on a woman that feels duped, then I say we dont deport him.
