The article doesn't say if she is a citizen or not. If she isn't(and if she is convicted), she should be deported back to Afghanistan once her sentence is served.

That is a completly valid question that deserves answers. I have always wondered that myself, why would people who are under these strict muslim rulesets where they would kill there own daughters for being too westernized move to a western country where there daughters will be exposed to it. Just doesn't make sense. I'd never move to a country like Saudia Arabia for example because I don't agree with majority of the laws they have. I'd move to a country that better fits what I want and believe in. Lucky for me I was born in Canada so I don't got to move anywhere.

Because they want what we have materially, but don't realize that their religion and customs are partly playing out why they don't have it at home. They don't move here because they like us or respect what we've built, but just for their own self-interest. Or, they just think honor killing is so perfectly normal they're just caught by surprise when the cops come to take them away.

Her concept of honor was okay in Afghanistan, but once they move to the West they have to adapt to the21 century. The only person to bring dishonor to her family was her trying to kill her daughter.

This death penalty offshoot has no place in the civilized world. In Texas and a lot of backward nations do this a fair amount, but it doesn't belong in a civilized society.

Andy, I think you have got it this think this is perfectly normal so they do it. That is is also why when Moslems move to western countries they they carry with the the idea of Sharia Law is a basic human right and are similary caught by suprise that are living in the 21 century and are secular societies and get ticked off at us because we could not care less about or for Sharia Law.
