Bullshit, I saw the video. They grappled down and before they could even get a chance to even grip there guns. They were swarmed by dozens of guys with metal pipes all beating on them.

If you haven't heard the Palestinian/activist side of the story, you have been under some very selective rocks.

Blockade isn't illegal, and although storming the ship was questionable, you could twist words around and no doubt make it sound legal. Call it a ship inspection.

Are you daff? You really are biased aren't you, alright consider Israel's situation. Ever since they were created as a nation they have been fighting for there right to exist and there very lives from day 1. Every aid ship that goes to Gaza is under radar from Israel as Israel requires to control what gets into Gaza. As Hamas frequently is known to take hold of these aid supplies. Even at times holding it out on Gaza citizens for w/e reason. Israel doesn't want Hamas to get anything they can use military wise.

When you got a aid ship which I am assuming wouldn't answer to Israel or approve cargo search. They raided the ship, they wern't hostile unti'll these "activists" started beating the shit out of them. Boarding a ship is not a hostile action, anybody with common sense or innocense wouldn't grab metal pipes and beat the crap out of soldiers because they boarded your ship. You being a Canadian Citizen (I think?) or wanting to be one. If you wanted to enjoy a calm day sailing at on the sea. However a Canadian Forces naval ship approached you and launched boarding parties to board and search your ship. Would you grab the nearest object that can be used as a weapon and start beating these armed soldiers? I wouldn't think so.

These people you are so keen on defending are not innocent, like you they are blinded by anti-Israel bias and hatred. Obviously not afraid to die either. They are the ones who assaulted the Israel commandos. Regardless of it being in international waters, or even if the boarding was illegal which I'm betting it is isn't. The commandos still peacefully boarded there ship and was met by hostile force. Giving them full right to defend themeslves and save there own lives.

Interesting, so do you consider it an attack when a Canadian ships sends a boarding party to a suspicious boat?

I think it's a matter of how the boarding is percieved.

Normally, boarding a ship is accomplished by a boarding vessel which pulls alongside and issues a request to board.

Commandoes repelling onto the vessel is not normal procedure for a peaceful boarding.

I really can't see why it makes a difference. One way or the other someone is boarding your ship, either by air or zodiac pulled alongside. The first attack was made by an occupant of the boarded vessel.
