1) I started reading about the JTF2 a couple years back and learning a bit about them from some friends in the military, and I can say that my already-ballooned national pride ballooned even more with the knowledge that our crack team is the best in the world at what they do, taking out the enemy in the name of freedom.

2) It is well-known that armed forces from countries around the globe come to Canada for training and whatnot, as we have the most extensive military training in the world, going back to the World Wars, in which we were so dominant. Plus, having all this space helps too.

I am making a point in the fact you cannot base a newspaper articles readers on the city its based off when its a online article. Everybody on this site who comes from all over Canada and around the world uses this site for Canadian news. They will be coming here and viewing that source and have the free will to comment on that article in the sites comment box. Which is why I said too many Torontonians, not all. I actually LIKE the GTA, that's why I moved to the area. I've spent a fair bit of time in Canada's 3 biggest cities and Toronto has always been my favourite. But the stuff I commented on, I also hear in real life on a regular basis and it pisses me right off. Some of the crap I hear is reminscent of nazi propaganda about US troops being, "gum chewing gangsters". I've heard the people in our forces called murderers, rapsits, criminals and the list goes on so long I could vomit.
Here's the thing, when the cops fuck up, no one starts screaming about how the nation's police forces should be eliminated. When a child psychiatrist is busted for pedophilia, you don't see a bunch of people calling for the banning of the psychiatric profession.
But when our men and women in the military do something RIGHT and do it DAMN well,(which is regularily) they still get shit on for it.
