I have bookmarked the forums page - never knew the front page existed. But what, now you expect me to scroll thru all those headlines to see if it matches one I picked up from yahoo, or the newspaper?

uhhh, yes.

The mods have enough to do around here, chasing off spammers and such.

Simple politeness says use the front page and dont double post stories.

Well I actually posted the story on this forum first, so whoever used the newsbot is the double poster. But, I was more about making the point that the perp that was caught had written on his facebook page that he has a "good heart" and has stopped "doing bad things." I assumed people already knew that he was caught. Just thought that piece of it was interesting.

I don't really see how it hurts anything to have two threads going about a related topic.

Because we moderate these forums and like to keep all the same arguing in one thread. Besides the fact you're supposed to post news stories the proper way through the news links.

Yes.......or it gets deleted if it's already there.

Ok - fair enough. At least now I know where to look.

Now what about that immigration piece I posted from the Vancouver Sun? I doubt you have that in your news blips - so is that a problem for you too? Or that Limbaugh piece? Are you saying only items that appear on the home page are a go?

this Minister acts like a politician from some Banana Republic. Why should he be allowed to carry liquids on an aeroplane when any other ordinary passenger can't. Shame on you Mr. Jean-Pierre Blackburn! Actually he ought to step down.

I got the full pat down in Edmonton - by a dude! I was going to ask for a girl, like the cute one calling for the dude while eyeing my kilt, but that might have been inappropriate. Mind you, the guy said if he had to pat me down again, we'd go to dinner first.

I love security! Sometimes they have a great sense of humour - Victoria security is simply the best! Girls ask me what I have under my kilt (I'll screw up the courage to answer 'lipstick' one day) and one of them, a big amazon six footer, wanted me to do a fling for her once!

Last time I flew it was to San Diego with Mrs. Bart and they confiscated her bottle of shampoo because it might be dangerous. It was terribly entertaining when they got to me and had to let me on board the plane with my .45 and two spare clips.
(As a reserve LEO I can carry concealed on a plane.)

The absurdity of the rules makes me cringe. They'll take away our shampoo but my .45 is okay.

I'm sorry, but the reason for all of this is the Muslims. If we simply ban them from flying we can let go of a lot of these silly rules.
