There's already a memorial. It might be in France, but it belongs to us. We have cenotaphs and memorials in almost every town in the country. I don't see the necessity in redundantly building memorials.

Save your money for the next memorial, one to all the dead and maimed soldiers in Afghanistan once the conflict is over.
