No apology needed, you're simply stating an obvious truth. There's way too many Americans who are fat in the can. I see them every day.

Ah, but once you know what to look for the Canadians stand out in their own special way.
Canadian businessmen have a predilection for green suits, Canadian women tend to wear less makeup than American women (as they have fewer flaws to hide!), Canadian children tend to quote less from television, and then the pale skin and an absence of freckles on the red heads gives it away that you're not looking at a Californian.
Yes, I'm vastly generalizing, but seriously, after living here and living in BC you just get a sense for when you're looking at a Canadian even if they're wearing American clothes and all.
