Thank you. I wasn't making a snarky comment, but pointing out what you said that Canada is not prepared to stand on her own - something I've consistently advocated.
Canada is most certainly vulnerable in an economic sense. If the US economy does go into collapse then given that we're 80% and more of your trade then Canada will certainly feel our pain.
But as you pointed out, the social divide of the conservative and liberal US states also is present in the Canadian provinces. Were the US to fracture along political lines I don't see Ontario and Quebec as having the sense to stay out of it. They'd absolutely align with the liberal US states and that could potentially cause Alberta and etc. to align with the conservative states.
At its conclusion such a fragmentation could result in a very interesting political map of North America.
