I slag the police when they fuck up, but in this case the problem was the guy. He tried to shut the door on them, and couldn't speak English. (I thought having one of the official languages was a requirement for entry?) So sad, too bad.

Guy didn't understand why two strangers were knocking on his door, so he tried to shut the door.

Not really rotten apples, just cops who reacted without thinking. The reports said that they thought a woman and child were in danger, when they went on the call. Had they gone to the right apartment, they'd be seen as heroes for saving innocents.

That being said, because they screwed up majorly, they need to face the music and pay the piper.
