After a few lines you see that she doesn't give a crap about environment and just want to push a left-wing political agenda down everybody's throat, while doing some Harper bashing.

She even calls the Quebeckers the "sophisticated" of the nation, you know, the ones that threaten to throw rocks and beer bottles at any public event that has anything to do with the federal governement.

Yep you're right, I apologize. It (the 'movement' mentioned here) has really very little to do with the U.K. itself and that was the assumption I jumped to.

No probs, I'm just suprised at how easy it is for Canadians to express anti UK feelings.

There is a lot of goodwill from Brits towards Canada. Even though Canada has basically closed it's doors to UK immigrants (they now account for less than 1% of new immigrants) Brit's have a respect that goes further than just a shared history and heritage.

It's dissapointing to see Canadians just piss on those links.

Well I don't know about others but i don't think it's the U.K. specifically. If it was belgium telling us off when I don't think we deserve it I'd be pissed at belgium too. It's not specifically the U.K. from my perspective. It's more of a semi-patriotic reaction meaning the antagonist could be anyone.
