EyeBrock EyeBrock: Lemmy Lemmy: Wouldn't women be more worried about long patrols WITHOUT women? Lemmy, women in the military add an extra layer of issues that are not always a positive addition to combat effectiveness. Plus even ugly chicks are 'hot' when there's nothing else to look at. Even better when they are hot.

raydan raydan: Choban Choban: Recipe for trouble to be sure. I remember though, living on base in Dartmouth, that the horney wives would put tide boxes in their windows if their hubbies were out to sea, meaning come on in boys. So it works both ways Mrs. Robinson...rawwwr! Damn, now I'm trying to remember if my mom did that. I lived in Dartmouth and the message was clear - don't fool with sailors' women unless you wanted to be met in a dark alley by six guys with baseball bats.

I'm sorry, but if the men cant keep their dicks to themselves, should the women start wearing burka's then? They use the same reasoning, don't they? "men are horny, women are prey, dont show yourselves because we cannot keep ourselves from sticking our dick in you"

"men are horny, women are prey, dont show yourselves because we cannot keep ourselves from sticking our dick in you" Are you implying that after 6 months at sea it's only the men that are going to have a hard time 'keeping it in their pants'? Plenty of women out there that see the whole hunter/prey idiom in reverse.

I just dont think you are in the right profession if you cant keep it in your pants for 6, 7 months while you have a woman or man at home waiting for you.

I think they should have a all female sub, than the men and women can have submarine races!

Problem was that when one ship was at sea another was docked, there was no shortage of sailors on base at any given time. I agree you don't mess around with anyones wife/woman but I was a teenager when I lived there and it was common knowledge what the tide boxes in the windows meant. It wasn't an open invitation to screw, it was women letting their boyfriends know that their husbands were at sea, and it wasn't EVERY window, just a few.

Guy_Fawkes Guy_Fawkes: I think they should have a all female sub, than the men and women can have submarine races! Oooh, I dunno if an all female sub would work either. Submariners are a total different breed as any of you who ever dealt with them will know. I'll have chicks in combat roles but subs is a bit of a niche role. The guys in subs are pretty different.

Submariners in most navies get paid more, but the job sucks and they suffer an above average rate of substance abuse, have a higher rate of wellness issues and are generally regarded as kinda loony by everybody else.
Those in bomber subs or hunter-killers are normally on patrol for 90 days minimum, hot-bedding (google it) and have minimal contact with their families because of the need to avoid detection.
Sounds great eh? Join the navy and see the world. Not in a sub though, see fuck all.
