I don't know why they're so bitter. Just because we took all their kids away and beat them and raped them in residential schools they get all mad. And sure the Supreme Court says they have rights to the land, but who listens to the Supreme Court anyways--just a bunch of liberals.

This is a tempest in a teacup. Every sane person knows that the Olympics have absolutely nothing to do with culture or sports, their sole purpose is advertising money and propagating the Olympic monopoly around the world.

The only reason that they're over emphasising Native Culture at the 2010 games is because it sells. When the rest of the world comes to Vancouver in Feb, do you think they wanna look at some culture that's akin to their own???

No...... they want the wild west, the untamed native injun, that they heard about as kids and who better to give it to them, for a very steep price, than VANOC and the Olympic board of governors.

This whole thing is about money and nothing else, so everyone should just relax, since it has nothing to do with anyones culture.

Since Ottawa (and the provinces) are scared to criticize anything natives are doing (or enfoce the law) all they do is throw money at them. The one effort to make aboriginal bands accountable was shot down by Paul Martin. Until that happens don't expect federal cash to be used properly.

And every goverment since the founding of researves has done it this way as it was easier to buy them then include them .
