Well there must be enough of it going on in Ontario for McGuinty to think it's worth taxing. Besides, that was just an example. I guess the fact McGuinty will hold the number 1 and 2 spots for the largest tax hikes in Ontario are also part of that "band-aid" solution? Do you really think a massive tax hike is going to make it any easier for people to keep their homes? Anything and everything that involves home ownership will be taxed. Gas and hydro USAGE will now be taxed, not just the service. The list goes on
Your "concern" for the homeowner would hold a lot more weight if you also had something to say about all the extra McSquinty invoked taxes that will make their ownership that much more tenuous.
