EyeBrock EyeBrock:

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." The US is your enemy?

Try to keep up nitwit.

He asked
$1:
Do you want to explain why he needs to support Columbian rebels?

And that was my response. The US is Chavez' enemy and I don't blame him for not wanting bases set up in his neighbour's yard.

No go to the playground and let the adults chit chat.

So that's where the "off" switch is.

It is too bad you have no clue how to debate on the points you have to bring my skin colour into it. Tsk tsk.

Does it hurt to be that much of a retard?

I do blame him, Columbia is a nation on it's own, not a puppet state of Venezuala, what right does Chavez have to critisize them for allowing US military interests to stage there, they do it all the time in other nations with no ill effect to their neighbors.
Chavez is just convinced that the US is out to take over his country and his rhetorical barking will probably be what leads to it as opposed to if he just shut his mouth and guarded his own interests.
It's been long known that he wishes to undermine the Columbian Government anyways, this is just another step on the path for him.

That’s a little hypocritical, you don’t blame Colombia for protecting it’s own self interests but you do blame Chavez for trying to protect his country’s interests.

If the Americans are there because of the “War on Drugs” than what does anyone care if Venezuela has troops along it’s own boarder

Should be a non-issue, but it makes it a little harder for the US to snoop around along that boarder.

Why is it an issue? Oh, ya, you don’t like Chavez and putting his own troops along his own boarder makes it a little harder for the Americans to sneak around there.

Makes sense why you would be such a hypocrite.

Actually I haven't stated my opinion of Chavez placing his troops on the border, I have only stated my opinion of his irrational public outbursts and fearmongering that eclipses anything we've seen from North American powers on the issue.
He can do as he wishes with his troops in his country, it's his country.
As far as the US snooping along his border, well if it is indeed to stop drug flow and prevent Venezualan funding of militants and drug cartels then it's an admirable action and kudos to Columbia for giving up this small parcel of their land to do it. As far as pollitical or military spying goes, get real, average GI's on the border don't do this, CIA operatives and sympathisers in the country are the spies.
So branding me a hypocrite is not only biased on your end but just plain wrong.

Why don't you explain the "War on Drugs" and what an effective program that has been keeping drugs off the streets?
And to explain his support for the Colombian rebels...well the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
How many rebel groups does the US support? Hundreds? Thousands?
There is no sense arguing that what Hugo is doing is wrong when you support an ideology that commits the same crime a dozen times a day.

Who taught you to debate.. Derby?

I ask "Do you want to explain why he needs to support Columbian rebels?" and you respond with off topic jibberish. In the other threads you broadsde everyone because they just might be white males. While I might find you're perspective as a “.wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,”, it really had nothing to do with either topics.

We know full well that Chavez is funding insurgents into Columbia but do you have any proof that Columbia is funding insurgents into Venezuela? Chavez is busy shutting down all media that is unfriendly to him and I think he's looking for that outside foe to start his class war against.

We know full well eh? Of course the US or Columbia isn't doing anything of the sort are they? Of course the US has no history at all of funding and aiding insurgents designed to remove governments they don't like eh? No precedent at all.
You wouldn't be taking a completely one sided slant on this issue because of your political prejudices? Nah. That would be so unlike you.

Of course a sovereign country has no right to deploy its military in its own territory according to what they perceive as a threat. Nah. Good thing they aren't joining Mexico in protesting Canada's legal right to enact visa requirements. Then they'd really be trouble.

Why do I find the thought of Chavez' goons going head-to-head with whatever US forces in Columbia so potentially funny? Chavez'll end up doing a Black Knight from the "Holy Grail" routine in about two days, "Alright, we'll call it a draw".

Chavez sending troops to his border isn't going to scare the Americans.

Perhaps its not meant to scare them. I doubt he actually thinks it would. The US moving predator drones to the Canadian border didn't scare us either.

It's the external boogyman his class war demands.

Aside from all the chatter, I haven't really heard any recent news of Columbian indurgetnts going into Venesuelia. The Contra's were quite a while ago folks. Anything new or is this all spin to support the ravings of the next little socialist darling?

Just like you and the boogyman of communism and muslim extremism? You guys always seem to need an overwhelming threat to focus the masses attention don't you?

Now of course Chavez has no reason to think the US won't make up a pack of lies to justify an invasion would they? Nah. That was so 2003.

Of course they won't now that the US is now led by an eminent statesman of impeccable taste and intelligence rather then a buffoon kinda like Canada will be after the next election that sends Harper to the unemployment line to take advantage of socialism.

A waste of money it might very well be but as for an insult? I don't think so. The US has every right to see to its border needs. Funny that some of my fellow Canadians are the first to cry foul if another nation does something we perceive as a slight even as we decry other nations own internal actions.

chatter chatter chatter.. Where's the proof?
I can't find any recent examples of Columbian insurgents moving into Venesuelia.

In the topsy-turvy land of the left, the reality is that Chavez is sending insurgents into Columbia.
