Struggling?! Is the sky red in your world? Israel is rich enough to knock down their suburbs and build new ones every other year, and gets military hardware from America. How is that struggling?

And what dictatorship? Palestine elected Hamas. I don't know who you think they're a proxy for, they've been fighting their own war for centuries.

Well, I guess I'll start by not replying to some of the garbage these threads create. Alright. Now let's say you're a soldier, who patrols the border of a hostile nation/territory/whatever, and you have vivid memories of different events of your fellow soldiers getting kidnapped from border gates, including one that's been held captive since the whole Lebanon War.

Now, you see something get kicked over a fence. A ball, whatever. Doesn't matter. So in a normal situation, like if this was your neighbor kicking it into your yard, you'd give it back. But if your neighbor has a history of shooting at you, you'd probably just not take a chance. Now put it into these young soldiers, who knows the dangers of fucking around the border, and what you'd do in their position.

Yeah, tear gas is extreme, no doubt. But the entire conflict is extreme. Palestinian propaganda efforts are so extensive, that they caused uprisings like the Jenin Massacre bullshit in what, 2001? I wouldn't take a chance. I don't blame the soldiers for not taking a chance either.
