According to the most recent (2006) census date, "visible minorities accounted for 42.9% or 2,174,100 of the population in Toronto (Census Metropolitan Area). The largest visible minority groups in Toronto were South Asian (684,100), Chinese (486,300), Black (352,200), and Filipino (172,000)." In percentage terms, that 57.1% White; 6.9% Black and 9.6% Chinese."



Yet, of the 26 persons "wanted for murder by the Toronto Police Service, at least 20 or 77 per cent were visible minorities, most of them Black. Of the 26, just two were White, two are unidentifiable, and two are "young offenders," so the police tell us nothing. Put another way, Whites constitute 57.1% of the population of Toronto and, yet, just two persons, a mere 7.6% of the total cast of villains wanted for murder are White.

When I was maybe three and at a ball game with the ol' man, he gave me quite a talk on how the black boys sitting to the side of us were only different in the color of their skin and how they were the same as me in every other way. Of course, what he said was true and since then I have never been prejudiced because of skin color.

Perhaps better parenting in this case would have negated it ever happening.

It happens all the time in Ottawa. There are also many times where three white guys beat up a black guy, or another white guy, or three black guys beat up another black guy. Most of the time, it's got nothing to do with race, and someone just happens to have the jacket or shoes that some gang of thugs wants for free.

I love this I put up facts that black on white crime is at pandemic levels and I get called a racist and the US DOJ too. Our AG (Eric Holder) who heads the DOJ is black!!!

Well not to sound to pessimistic or anything but one thing that kind of caught my attention in the original article was when the guy (victim) stated "I'm a victim of racial discrimination every day" or something to that effect. Yes I realize there is racial discrimination out there and it reveals itself in many forms but I don't really consider BC to be a hold out for white supremacist or racial bigots. Yes I think it's entirely possible for someone to experience racial discrimination but on a daily basis? I find that statement hard to believe.

Second, we only saw the fight. We didn't see any of the events leading up to it. The 3 guys that were hauled in over this have al claimed that it wasn't racially motivated, rather it was caused by the victim himself when he threw a hamburger at them. Why did he throw a hamburger I don't know but it think it goes without saying that anyone who throws a hamburger at a truck with 3 guys in it, be them white, black, blue, pink or purple, should expect a confrontation.

The media has all ready convicted the 3 guys of racism without any evidence other than video of the fight. We haven't heard from any witnesses or seen anything to indicate that this was nothing more than a fight between a bunch of guys over something stupid.
