But more seriously, from her public announcement, it seems as though her primary reason for this was the enormous amount of time and money being wasted by repeated ethics inquiries that continue to turn up nothing substantial. I am open to the idea of ulterior motives, but I haven't really seen any evidence otherwise. I shall take her at her word unless something actually credible turns up.
