Win-win for Iggy. Seems to be the only people thinking Iggy is coming off badly are the people who will say that regardless. Iggy is doing exactly what he said from day one, holding the CPC accountable and if Harper doesn't compromise then Harper will be responsible for the election and the people will hold him accountable.

Come on!
Seems to be the only people thinking Iggy is coming off strongly are the people who will say regardless.
Once again, he cries "Wolf!" by threatening, again, to bring down the government. It's so amazingly predictable that he will back off from the sabre rattling after getting a couple of concessions. Meanwhile, the potential of another election and more political instability just does wonders for the economy!
First off the people who have been crying about Iggy "threatening" to bring down the government are the same hacks now crying that he is backpeddling.
He did what he was supposed to do and that was let Harper know if he doesn't compromise then he'll face an election. Iggy too has to compromise but the partisan hacks like riden cry that he's knuckling under whenever he gives a little to Harper. They are simply bitching because no matter what Iggy does they'll bitch. I think you know this because you seem to have little patience for ridens excessive partisan BS. Just a week ago they were all crying that Iggy was the man who wanted an election and was forcing it despite the voters not wanting one. Now they are crying that he's negotiating with Harper to avoid one.
Give me a break.
Who exactly do you think is going to say Iggy is simply folding under Harpers magnificence? The increasing number of voters who favour him?
Who do you think will call what Iggy is doing a flip-flop? All the people who still support harper
despite him flopping on floor-crossers, income trusts, accountability, pandering to Quebec, appointing senators, all those promises of ice-breakers, and last but not least his pledge to absolutely not run a deficit.
Are those the people complaining that Iggy gave some ground to Harper to avoid an election less then 20% of Canadians want?
What voters do you think are going to punish Iggy for giving that ground? The ones who rewarded Chretien with 2 straight majorities and Martin a minority even after he flipped on the GST promise? Don't hold your breathe.
I don't see anybody but the people who wouldn't vote Liberal if it would save their lives complaining and they have no problem with the massive number of Harper flip-flops so I don't think Liberals or more then a hand full of swing voters will care the least about Iggy being the bigger man and staving off an election he himself was poised to win.
