As a former firefighter and ambulance attendant I still flinch when I see idiot drivers totally ignoring the warning devices on fire and EMS units. I cannot count the number of times that we, in a frontline pumper had to swerve to avoid idiotic drivers. When you have 1000 gallons of water onboard and that weight shifts it makes for a very unstable vehicle and one helluva scarey ride. I wonder if it was the driver's property or their loved one that a unit is responding too would they act the same way.
