Actually, the Bloc and PQ are using the ''same ol'' tactics. This has nothing to do with protecting our ''culture'' per say. They (Bloc and PQ) simply want to eliminate what is opposite their political views. The Bloc has no purpose in Ottawa other than to get a decent salary, I might add, and nothing else. Funny how that goes sometimes, yet you don't hear Duceppe bitch about that.

M. Duceppe represents all Quebecers.. the PQ are only interest in pure Quebecois(e).. I went to a meeting for the hell of it and listened to Pauline.. the woman should be locked up.

The Bloc is not representing a majority of Quebecers as many would seem to assume or as the media seems to be portraying it.
There are more votes for the Liberals, Conservatives and NDP combined out of QC than the Bloc, a good example is last election.
Votes out of the province of Quebec. (source CBC.ca Canada votes '08 election)
Bloc got 1,380,000 Conservatives got 785,000 Liberals got 860,000 NDP got 442,000 Independent got 23,000
The current election system allows for the Bloc to get more seats within the province.

Actually I was referring to M. Duceppe in Ottawa.. he always stands for Quebec.. You know I would like to see Quebec liberal in Ottawa and I will be home to help with the next election.. the libs are coming up in the polls in Quebec and when I was home recently bar hopping there was a lot of positive talk about Ignatieff

Ça c'est vrai! yeah but in this case my opinion is more fact. Qc does control who gets to IMM directly to the province no other province does. Have you looked at the IMM procedures for Qc? a) Canada b) Quebec There is more favouritism in the score sheet if you speak French not English etc and after the security checks are done the application goes to Quebec. They can reject it any time. I can't wait until the next referendum, then maybe Qc will finally leave. better yet, I think the rest of the country should have one so we can open the door.

Remember what happened after last election ? More MP seats got distributed amongst the provinces unfortuately Quebec's population hasn't grown substantially enough so they dont get any. The tail wagging the dog thing is comming to an end soon. Quebec will soon find out.

PluggyRug PluggyRug: I thought Canada had three official languages, French, English, Rubbish. I dont know why the natives haven't stood up yet and demand their most used native dialect be recognized as an another official language within the Canadian charter. They'd have a case. I'd like to see it happen just for shits and giggles.

We need to preserve those languages but well... it's evolution.

Duceppe and the Bloc are a complete joke. Perhaps he should retire and get that ''comfy'' Federal Canadian pension. Not sure if he realises that he keeps biting the hand that feeds him.
