The only spread they could beat would be Map-O-Spread. :)

The avatar and listed occupation seem to go hand in hand.

Saw the remark and was glad to see a Mod saw it right away too. There are other places on the Internet for that type of BS language. Glad it is not tolerated here.

Back on topic..
Toronto has a shitload of people who are up to their necks in crime, are the first to scream and demand that guns be banned but refuse to lift one finger to clean up their own neighborhoods. Their nothing but weak fodder for lying politicians who promise everything but who can deliver nothing.. because it all depends on the community.

Anti-gun Activist Shot & Killed in Toronto
National Post (Toronto)
26 Aug 2005
TORONTO -- A father was gunned down last night in the same Scarborough apartment building courtyard where he weeks ago staged a "Stop-the-Violence" barbecue, residents said. The shooting of the man- identified by friends as Delroy, but known as "Sploogle"- happened just before 7 p.m. on the basketball courts of an apartment building at 3181 Eglinton Avenue East, near Markham Road. Police said there was an altercation, and he was shot more than once by a man. As many as 20 people, many of them children, were in the area at the time. ...

The Globe and Mail’s Christie Blatchford wrote an insightful debunking of this glorification of the dead Delroy. Not to put too fine a point upon it, Delroy was a drug dealer with a long criminal record, starting soon after he graced our shores fresh from Jamaica at age 17. Wrote Blatchford: “First of all, he had a significant criminal record that spanned a decade, beginning in 1986 when he was but 22 and one of those arrested in a major-for-its-time narcotics bust (four people were charged after an eight-month investigation into the sale of marijuana, hashish and cocaine in Scarborough) that even made one of the local papers. By the time of his last conviction, in 1996, Mr. Daring had acquired a total of seven criminal convictions, six for drugs (both for possession and possession for the purpose of trafficking) and one for assault with a weapon.” (Globe and Mail, August 27, 2005)

Look at that. No matter what we find that gun owners are responsible for violence.

The solution is simple. We ban guns entirely. No guns will be legal in Canada for any reason and that will eliminate all gun crime.

We made drugs illegal and we have no more drug crime do we?

Why can't we just put the people that shoot other people in jail like we used to?

We can. We just shouldn't blame drug users who only want to peacefully imbile their choice of libation with them.

I blame the people who use guns to shoot people. Do you understand why your argument is being easily defeated?

Your comparison is more accurate if you liken the law abiding gun owner to the casual recreational soft drug user and the gun wielding maniac to the .. well, the gun toating drug dealers.

.. but you won't do that.
