If Gordie turned in all his empties, would that help with the cash short fall?

Do you have any evidence that he's drinking, Shep?

How can he not be drunk, thinking up that little gem. [B-o]

I don't get paid vacations. :?

You should, every employer is required by law to with hold 4% of your pay, so when you get your 2 weeks you ar unaffected financially

I agree. Even myself, now a school bus driver (thanks RUEZ for the inspiration) get some vacation pay deducted each payday!

The employer does not withhold anything for your vacation pay, they are required to pay you the proper percentage.

•After an employee has completed one year of employment, vacation pay must be at least four percent of the employee's total earnings from the previous year.

•After five consecutive years of employment, vacation pay increases to six percent.

•A person who is employed for less than one year is not entitled to a vacation, but must be paid four percent vacation pay on termination of employment.

•Vacation pay is not payable if the employment is for five calendar days or less

To make a long story short, my grand daughter rides a short bus to school. RUEZ and his dumbass comments about short bus students gave my wife and myself a real heehaw as the girl who is an excellent student and is also a Provincial level (for an 8 year old) gymnast rides a short bus to her French Immersion school every day. We laughed about that and then my wife said "aren't they looking for bus drivers, it'll give ya something to do, so I applied, got the job and now I find myself driving the very bus my girl takes to school. Nobody fitting the description of RUZE's shortbus students on it. RUZE, you and the other "dummies" must be on another bus. Keep looking for ya! Wave when ya go by.
