China and Russia do their usual anti-Israel lip-service but probably wouldn't do much of anything except talk unless it was seen that the US was clearly involved on the Israeli side. The Iranian regulary forces are a fourth-rate joke and with a couple hundred thousand battle-trained US troops in the immediate region wouldn't be successful in any sort of conventional military ground attack. If they shot an anti-ship missile at an American carrier then they could kiss every single airfield and naval base they have goodbye over the following fourty-eight hours.

Odds are that most Sunni Muslims in the region(Kuwait, Saudi, Jordan, big chunk of Iraq, etc), who nave always hated the Iranians for their revolutionary militancy, would probably privately cheer on the Israelis while publically condemning them. The real danger for the West and the US troops in Iraq is that the Iranians would activate their terrorist sleeper cells that most intelligence services beleive they've got scattered everywhere. Iraq would assuredly blow up again and destroy the illusion of the post-Surge false peace as US soldiers came under massive Shia attack again. Things could get bad enough again thanks to Iranian agents that parts of Europe and the United States end up enduring things like a car-bombing or suicide attack every day.

Getting rid of Saddam was a pretty dumb idea in hindsight considering that he was the best agent the world ever had at keeping the Iranians bottled up and under control.

Arabs don't like Iran. Its an old Arab-Persian rivalry thing. Bomb Iran, and EVERY, i mean EVERY, muslim country in the world will throw its weight behind it. Not publicly, but the petro-dinars will start flowing into Iran, and out of it into terrorist cells all over the middle east.

Israel should think twice. America is broke, how much can they spend trying to protect Israel. FFS, this is shit because somewhere somehow I have a feeling Canadian taxpayer money will end up being involved.

I'm sorry. No. Shiites and Sunnis HATE each other way too much for this to happen. Way too freaking much. Syria might try something, but high chance it'd do much against Israel. The bigger threat, like Thanos mentioned, was sleeper cells, specifically in Iraq, Lebanon, Europe, and North America.

I wouldn't be patient if I was Israel after all Israel has been through in experience and knows that at any momment any muslim country could attack him. Iran had made previous death threats against Israel even stating he would destroy the entire state of israel if he ever aquired nukes. Now there is a possability Iran can be persueing the tech. They said it is going to be used for power purposes but they wouldn't previously allow inspectors to find out (Don't know if they changed there minds or not).

It all hints to trouble for Israel. I smell WW3 coming out or atleast something close but IMO if I was isreal I would do the exact same thing. With the experience Israel has. They know there is no time to dick around and find out what they are really up to. Expecially with those death threats they made against them.

We had a CSIS official give a conference in one of my Poli Sci courses, and he mentioned just that. The stats would tell us that there are most definitely some in Canada, but we don't know who they all might be.
