theres no point in that , this happened in 2006 , the riding just re-elected him in 2008 and he wouldn't of made the same mistake again . so they are clearly ok with him as there mp and the results weren't even close last election either .

This kind of stinks of a liberal smack job by a pretty liberal newspaper. Truth be told a large number of MPs break election rules for funding all the time by doing so backdoor. The only reason this even gets in the paper is it's an admission rather then doing it through the backdoor by corporate and private donations.

Two wrongs don't equal a right.

Just because one MP does it doesn't justify any other MP from doing it. Anyone caught breaking the law should be punished, no matter his/her political affiliation, race, sex, religion, whatever.
