nope, the situation here is worse than in the States, just moving
more slowly.. the banks here are in far worse liquidity shape.

I'd say gold, or in 6 - 12 months, real estate.

If I was staying in Spain, I'd be buying anything I could get my hands on..
prices and numbers of sales are in the toilet.. deep, deep , deep down.

And it will recover, just not anytime soon.

Oh! Man...

Naah! I have DirecTV and my bill will $166 USD. $215 CDN which was a little painful for the month. Mind you I have extended HD (MGM, Univeral), sports pack and every movie pack available.

I have to admit, most of my services in my home are from U.S. accounts, not Canadian and when our dollar sinks, my cost of living goes up.

So I cross border shop every month, from my home when I pay my bills. US Vonage, DirecTV and so on.

But when I go shopping for furniture, clothes I try to buy "Made in Canada." Manufactured in Canada.
