Are you seriously THAT bothered by this? Honestly, I don't see why such a big deal is being made of this. The boy in question is obviously very shy and felt uncomfortable. Fine. Then he should have said so to either his teacher or his parents so it could be resolved. I really don't see why everyone's so bent up by it.

Seriously, how difficult is it to roll on a condom??? Answer: not that difficult. You slowly roll it down an erect penis, leaving enough air-free room at the tip to collect ejaculate. Badda-bing. Not rocket science. If, after hearing that explanation and seeing a demonstration, you're still confused about it, you are officially an idiot. (Not you personally, btw, I'm speaking in general).

You do a little demonstration in front of the class, explaining everything thoroughly. You mention that condoms are not 100% effective, but they're as close as you're gonna get if you use them properly. You make sure to remind them never to re-use a condom. You tell them that they while most men can safely use standard size condoms, obviously there are some who will need to use the larger or smaller sizes which are also widely available.

Condoms are made to be simple to use, and they are. No need to scratch one's head over it (no pun intended).

Practice makes Perfect. Why have Docs go through a Practicum?? Doing is much more informative than looking at pics. I really don't see the problem here.

To put this in context, family life courses begin early because studies have shown that sexual activity begins early. Sex is taught in detail in Grade 4 and 5.

Teachers might say: Should pregnancy or a sexually transmitted disease be the result of a 14 year old being too embarassed to buy a condom prior to having sex?

Moreover, can pregnancy or STDs be prevented if a 14 year old does NOT know how to use a condom prior to having sex?

I should also remind parents that such courses were instituted because sex was NOT taught or even discussed in the home resulting in teen pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. So, don't knock the schools for taking over parental responsibilities that you ignored, to the detriment of many young people.

Just remember the akwardness of doing it for the first time, and think about if you were in the proper frame of mind to read the instructions on the box. I know for me it was to dark in the room to read the instructions. But if you have done it once you don't need to read the instructions. I know we had to put one on a dildo back in the 80's when I was in sex ED and that hands on experience helped me in the dark.

Because it is a pretty awkward thing to do for a 14 year old kid, who is in no way ready for that. For kids who are, fine, but not everyone is.
