The two main ones seem to be IP, as you mentioned, and Native Syndicate. Cops just called them SSDP.

As we have seen, and will continue to see, the methods applied to the problem are woefully inadequet. The status quo shall remain as such because it is politically expedient. We do have a proven and ready solution at our disposal. What we don't have is the balls to use it. The solution. Our military. We have the biggest best outfitted, best trained gang in the country. A well planned 'clean sweep' producing results ala 'Jimmy Hoffa' would send a succinct message to anyone else who may entertain thoughts about such criminal activity.
No, I'm not suggesting that we should declare Marshal Law, and have the soldiers parading right down every capital cities main streets. Rather, I would suggest several elite squads, across the country, being able to operate unfettered, quietly and without fanfare. Gangsters and wannabes' just 'disappearing, never to be heard from again'.

Lol. Their trying that in Mexico right now.

It's not the force but the burden of proof.
There's a bigger, better funded army of lawyers and poverty pimps who are just waiting to show how progressive and compassionate they are by defending this scum.

I'm not even keeping track anymore of all the shootings. Back and forth the shootings go, community by community. Coming to my neighborhood soon...

Yeah, Shep & TG it's been going on since the Johal/Daliwal/Gill days, I remember when that started up in the early 90's. Knew in a second-hand kind of way of one of the victims back then. Control on the drug trade in the Vancouver area has gotten bigger since. It's scary now, murders are happening in daylight in public places.

OK, let me get this straight. If I understand this correctly, Montreal is now one of the safest big cities in Canada. 8O

It started when someone in the judiciary thought it would be cool to turn Vancouver into some kind of Amsterdam.
The number of Grow ops and gangs exploded and instead of cracking down on the lawlessness, we buried our heads in the sand and worked at making addicts an alternate lifestyle. It's little wonder that now we have a major crime problem that we still don't want to address.
