It wasn't a bad idea, but the fence they put up is not nearly as good as what's needed.

Don't be too surprised if that's what happens. With budget cuts there won't be enough police to keep order so I don't doubt that Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona will liberalize their gun laws with respect to border-related crime.

Naturally, that will just drive all the crime into California.

I was pleased to see that one of the last things Bush did was free those 2 border guards who shot that illegal.

That would be a bad idea, unless they have a counter removal device with them your basicly giving up explosives to the drug lords.
