I think the opposite. If the propaganda is true in that a lax penal system and restrictive gun laws means a greater crime rate then we should be swimming in it.

We are not. Credit does go to all us citizens but it also goes to the system we have in place for protecting it.

Why does it take something like this to happen for people to freak out. Here's some stats from my psyche and law class
