sandorski sandorski:

Nah, how about we send you instead?

How about we just kick the crap out of him here first, piss off his country men at the same time.

Ever wonder why his country beat the shit out of him if he’s such an outstanding citizen?

$1:
Khadr made the identification from photographs the agent, Robert Fuller, showed him during interrogations several months after the Toronto-born Khadr was captured following a firefight in Afghanistan in July 2002.

“He identified him by name,” Fuller testified. “He said he had never seen him in Canada.”

$1:
Maher Arar is a 34-year-old wireless technology consultant. He was born in Syria and came to Canada with his family at the age of 17. He became a Canadian citizen in 1991. On Sept. 26, 2002, while in transit in New York’s JFK airport when returning home from a vacation, Arar was detained by US officials and interrogated about alleged links to al-Qaeda. Twelve days later, he was chained, shackled and flown to Syria, where he was held in a tiny “grave-like” cell for ten months and ten days before he was moved to a better cell in a different prison. In Syria, he was beaten, tortured and forced to make a false confession.

During his imprisonment, Arar's wife, Monia Mazigh, campaigned relentlessly on his behalf until he was returned to Canada in October 2003. On Jan. 28, 2004, under pressure from Canadian human rights organizations and a growing number of citizens, the Government of Canada announced a Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar.

Funny how he knew who he was before anybody in Canada did.

Yeah we got suckered.

"His" country is not known for their Civil Rights. Why are you so eager to emulate them?

Is this credible? I doubt it. Canada does not look like a bunch of idiots right now. you are basing everything on information that was extracted under torture, which is unreliable at best. As for Arar not being in Canada, you are wrong, he lives in Ottawa, with his wife, who is a teacher at U of Ottawa. In Canada we presume innocent until proven guilty, he was found to be innocent.

BS, he's been playing the loons in Ottawa for years.

As much as you utopian dreamers think there are bad people in Canada and it's all from our stupid liberal polices incepted by stupid liberals.

I’m sure she’s a great teacher, what does she teach? How to scam and be a millionaire at it?

I believe its Economics.
I am no Utopian Dreamer, I see this world as the dystopian place that it is. I know there are bad people in Canada, but at least I'm not partisan, I try to look at all the evidence and try to figure out what is truth, whatever it may be. I don't rely on information based on secret evidence from interrogator number 11. He was cleared by a tribunal.

And considering the treatment he's been getting at Guantanamo, he probably just saying things to make the torture stop.

Don’t matter, these shits will give up their mother to save their ass. I think this information is grounds for shoot on sight.

Canada looks like a bunch of Idiots now,

Canada >>>>>> “take him off the no fly list”

USA>>>>> “Go fuck yourself”

And now we know why.

So if I tortured you to say that your best friend was a terrorist I would be ok to shoot him on sight? Frankly Hwacker we are all lucky you will never hold any seat of power in our country.

Granted the interrogations are not necessarily torture but there's no way I can let such an ignorant comment go like that.

I find the timing of these "admissions" reaching the media has rather strong political overtones. I sense some manipulation going on.

Most arab governments hate Islamist movements. If there were free and fair elections in most arab countries, (egypt for example), an islamist would win.

...counting down till the lefties start blaming Harper for paying Arar..
It must be so liberating to be totally free from the confines of history.
