It's different because the daycare worker works with kids. Same with pediatrician, or elementary school teacher. But something like garbage man, accountant, stock broker wouldn't matter.

Probably because it it's the news trying to appeal to those who dislike the military and trying to grab their attention. Or those who like the military and want to know more about so as to keep it from tainting the military in anyway. If that made no sense, please excuse it, it's 1 30 and I've been studying for like 5 hours straight.

You see, either way, a newspaper agency would not want to be accused of being one way or the other. It's best to be unbiased.
is it better to pronounce the military role, or is it better to hide it? Neither is good. Unless you deal with the newspapers finances and you've got the facts, because not everyone will be ever pleased.
We don't know anyone's motive.
But I guess it's just best to assume it's the most negative motive possible, eh? Didn't you start off with... " I have absolutely no faith in any corporate bastards including the writers of the news" Talk about assumptions...

(bad luck?? How stupid can you be??) She doesn't need to, the police did that for her. Along with the criminals he will be spending time with. Child Molesters don't last long in prison. Also it is bad luck, it has a bit of stupidity to it that he let her on his laptop when he had illegal things on it. However it is pure luck that she found it, for whatever reason she was using his laptop. She just stumbles upon his hidden folders of child porno's. Pure Bad Luck.

I'd tend towards those in the military who take honour, truth, duty and sacrifice etc seriously, seeing their efforts negated with repugnant acts such as pedophilia. And like lily said, assumptions.
