If the arctic melts enough to open up for drilling then I'm thinking most coastal cities will be under water and oil will be the last thing on anyone's mind.
And to drill an oil well in the athabasca region you will pay a half million just for the road and the lease,imagine what an offshore rig in the arctic would cost to operate.
The logistics would be unreal and very expensive.
