$1:
The NDP wanted to scrape NAFTA and start protecting Canadian manufacturing jobs and work on FAIR trade agreements.

How ironic that you refer to American companies and loss of "Canadian maufacturing jobs"

You just may get what you wish for. If Canada pulls out of NAFTA, all these American companies will pull out of Canada and the CAW will cease to exist.

What point is made by saying "...what the NDP wanted.." ?
The NDP can't ever have what "they want"...they can't get elected
higher than fourth place...they might move up to
third if the Bloc eventually disappears, but that's not any time soon.

Geez lad, even the CAW members don't vote NDP any more,
not since Buzz Boy hung his liplock on Paul Martin's private parts.

I just read a news article about the plant in Oregon that they built to move production from Kelowna BC. It seems Daimler is now shutting that one down and moving production to Mexico.

omg Tritium you have NO idea

perhaps the UNION has a small part to play in this plant getting shut down.

It has NOTHING to do with Harper. Try seeing past your own BS and seek out the truth.

Actually Kenmore, it's a sad day.

It's sad for those employee's and their families that now face uncertainty in an already declining economy.

It does show that the Conservatives globalization of Canada economy is not working, as since the agreement with the Union is now done these jobs most certainly will be moved to China or Mexico where the labor is 1/20th of that Canadian worker.

The NDP wanted to scrape NAFTA and start protecting Canadian manufacturing jobs and work on FAIR trade agreements.

Were did I mention "Harper" ? Liberal Party wants globalization too.

I don't agree with NAFTA. But if you follow the U.S. elections, Obama looks like he will win and NAFTA will be killed. Thank God.

I am not an Obama fan, can't stand the guy. But at least if he does get elected, there is at least one thing he will do that I like.

NAFTA has been VERY good for Canada. EVERY industry that dealt with NAFTA has seen a surplus.

don't let fear mongering cloud your ability to reason.
