stokes stokes:
Reverend Blair Reverend Blair:
So if he changes the military's overall mission (not just Afghanistan) so it doesn't need tanks, we should keep paying for tanks anyway? Once we're out of Afghanistan...at $200 million a month...should the military's budget stay the same?

Of course the military budget is subject to cuts. Only an idiot would say that the budget will stay the same or rise no matter what.

The Military is still feeling the sting of the last round of cuts the Liberals made. With reduced recruiting and Personnel reduction in the mid-90's there is a serious gap in the levels of experience in our military, not to mention the fact that no new equipment was bought for years....good thing I only have a few years left so I wont be around when the military collapses comletely!!!!

You mean useless shit like healthcare, education, and job creation, Tricks?

And if you want to talk about job creation, go to any city that has a major military base and tell them you are going to cut funding ....at least then there will be more people to line up for the increase in EI that the government will be paying out!!

Huh?

And lets keep in mind that when the Liberals were making those cuts, Harper and company were criticizing them for not cutting deeper and harder. If you want to look at past records, be honest about it.

This isn't at all suprising, given this parties philosophy of following the "Great Leaders" hatred for all things Military, except when you need them to enforce marshall law.

If the Liberals are elected folks, grab your pensions before they can, and run, cause there won't be enough of the Military left to pick up with a 20 year old dustbuster.

Typical socialist engineers at it.............. yet again.

They want to cut spendig and starve the forces again so that we are completely unprepared for deployment when they send us somewhere again. Just like how we were entirely ill-equipped when we first went into afghanistan in 2002. And then they try to pretend they care as they make up for their own cuts. Same BS, different pile.

Except Dion never said he was going to cut the forces, he said that they weren't immune to cuts if circumstances required it.

Apparently we need to invest in some adult literacy training for a few members of the armed forces...or maybe members of the Conservative Party.

Hwacker if harper thought your figures were correct he'd be promising them the moon, and we know that belongs to the US, right!

Oh! and when we might want some "home made gay porn" we'll be sure to think of ya.

Now tie that roast back around your neck and get outside and play. :D

The CF right now is less than 60,000 not including reserves. We are so short handed in the Navy we cant even man our ships.

I dont know where you get your BS of paying for american wars but again you have proven, like Stephanie Dion, that you dont know shit about the military in Canada.

So let me ask you genius...where would you take from...our military is less than 0.2% of our population add in civilian contractors maybe 0.5% yet the role that the military fulfills is monumental in the overall well-being of our nation.

You have crossed the line just a little bit. I could almost respect your unflappable defense of the Left but now you are nothing more than a useless hack who apparently has nothing better to do than search the net all day for useless left-wing BS to prove your points, now I am disgusted by you.

Scape Scape:
Tax cuts and military spending are taboo, didn't you get the memo Zip?

I know, I know, I'm being somewhat facetious. The New Socialists (by that I mean the people mistakenly referred to as "right wing" these days) aren't really interested in cutting spending at all. In fact they are all about big deficit spending. Just look at Dubya go, down south.

governments should not get into job creation game (directly) or you get another Saskatchewan. 1/3 work for the province and paid by 50% of the population

= massive exodus and reduced business growth
