Alternate news story... "Cops Watch Teen Mother Kill Baby"

The flack about tasers is almost as bad as firearms. What are we supposed to do, have unarmed cops shaking their fingers at armed criminals and saying "no no no!"?

Just like any other weapon or tool, yes there is going to be a time when it created more harm than good, but you never hear about the vast majority of times that it has been used successfully for a safe outcome.

Unless you were there and witnessed the situation, you cannot judge the efforts of the cops. They were in a tough situation. As an EMT I can assure you that any time a child is involved, the stress factor goes way up. Your only concern is for the welfare of the child. The cops did what they felt they had to do to ensure the safety of the child. Period.
