Why is this funny? Because it's Paris Hilton? Because it's a chihuahua?

I know it's a fact of life, but I'd be sickened if one of my critters got eaten.... and yes, my dog is part chi.

Well, you are most certainly correct. It is sad when someone's pet dies, even if it is Paris Hilton's.

I think the general perception is, though, that she has the dogs as fashion accessories as opposed to pets. That may be totally false, and it doesn't change the fact that a dog died, but I think that's the perception.

No, Coyotes is only some hockey team in Arizona somewhere.

Paris Hilton is the one that deserves respect. After all, She is seeking to be US President

We've got an increasing coyote population in California, too. I saw one trotting down the sidewalk on Meadowview Road in Sacramento a month or so back in broad daylight. What gave him away to me was the trot - that kind of bouncy lope those critters walk along with when they're making time. The critter was/is predating on rats (big 'uns in the Meadowview neighborhood), cats, and small dogs and I imagine it'll be no time before we hear of one attacking a child.

Since the PETA freaks went crazy going after trappers the coyotes and mountain lions have been seriously getting out of hand and coming into urban neighborhoods much more frequently.

Is it a problem with wildlife encroaching into urban neighborhoods, or is the problem really the encroachment of cities on the areas the critters have called home for thousands of years. We have the problem here of people building farther and farther into wilderness areas, then wondering why they are having problems with bears.

I saw a dead coyote on the side of the road this morning. :(

Yes, I know they're mangy and all, but still.

They are opportunist's,give them an easy meal and they will be back, they are also fearless as are most fox.

They are fast enough to dodge anything but a bullet.

Had a wee arctic fox attack me last month, bloody thing was relentless after I put the garbage can in the dry and spoiled his meal. 8O
