Alberta has had a fee like this for years. It's no big deal amd it goes to help the environment. How can this be bad?

$13 on a computer - jeez, this is really going to hurt people on a fixed income who can barely afford to buy a new computer every year as it is.

We've been putting things like this off forever. Time to pay the piper. Provided that the fee actually sets up some kind of Recycling system though. About the only alternative to this would be to require Manufacturers to take back any Product they have produced and Recycle and I can assure you that they would fight that for years.

Not an issue for me, I've been doing all my electronics shopping in the US anyway to avoid the PST and GST.

Watch it get siphoned off into general funds, and regardless electronics in my area will not get recycled as the government cannot be bothered to provide ANY recycling services in the local communities.

We'll keep dumping the crap into local landfills like we always have.

Can't wait to start paying carbon taxes. Yeah!

Thankfully last I checked the Liberals still hadn't won an election. . . Feel free to ignore the MSM and their premature coronation ceremonies.

well to be honest yeah, As much shit as ill take for saying this. You and I and your neighbour and even your kid will be LONG dead before anything that were doing now will really cause shit to hit the fan as far as this green house emiison and global warming crap is concerned. I could give a crap if the earth blows up in 100 or even 80 years, you know why? ILL BE DEAD and wont have any idea anyway.

people think there green because they don't leave the lights on in there house when they leave, then get into the car instead of a bus and go to work, then eat there lunch which is stored in a plastic bag, throw it out in a plastic garbage bag, then the garbage trucks come,oh wait more gas. Yeah thanks for being "green" everyone your helping out soooo much. The ice caps have risen an inch just because of you. Ha gimme a break

I know its not the best attitude to have but its my attitude so unless I can live to be 200 i don't give a crap. *Cranks Up AC"

The future is everyones responsability, Personally I would like future generations of my family to not have to live on Mars. It's attitudes like "I'll be long dead" that have gotten us to the point we are at.
Alberta has electronic recycling centers, you can drop you old electronics off for free.

What point is that?. What point have we been brought to that is specifically because of humans in regards to green house gases. I dont deny my view is again not the best but if I never ever used another drop of gas or paper bag and did everything in my life to be green, guess what?. Doesnt make a lick of difference cause the next guy just uses twice as much. "Oh but what if everyone did the same as you?. Then we would be in paradise". True if everyone did this but they dont so whats the point?

Im glad that you would like to have your future family live on earth, I for one would be glad to see us have the tech to live on Mars, oh right ill be dead by the time that happens.

I know all about Albertas "centres" I live in Alberta sillypants and if the tax was really doing its job then there would be NO limit on the amount of stuff you can drop of at the stations and dont even think about saying there arent limits because there are.
