Pipe bombs are a tradition in Canada - as old as pipes and railways tracks.
What? A tradition? Do you celebrate pipe bomb day?
Yeah, it's June 16

Ruez, you should take my use of the word tradition a little less seriously.
I grew up in BC and it seems to me that half a dozen pipe bombs were found every year. It's something that some knuckleheads like to experiment with... like drugs... or Metallica
Anyway, here's a little tidbit from the news with nary a word about terrorism:

SIMSBURY, Conn. - Authorities in Connecticut are wondering who stuffed a raw roasting chicken with a pipe bomb and left it on a roadside.
Simsbury police Capt. Matthew Catania says a motorist noticed the chicken Friday morning. He says the bomb was large enough to harm a person if it went off.
The road was closed while the Hartford Police Department's bomb squad came and blew up the chicken.
Nobody was injured.

The discovery of a six-inch pipe bomb disrupted commuter traffic around the busy Metrotown mall in Burnaby, B.C., Thursday night.

A bomb scare closed one of Port Alberni’s main roads Thursday evening from about 6 p.m.
Police were notified that an object had been found outside of the Echo Toyota car dealership on Tenth Avenue that may or may not have been a pipe bomb.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Lee Omilusik said the object is a metal pipe, about six inches long, with a cap on either end.
“We’re erring on the side of caution, ” said Omilusik
Good plan!

A Surrey man will likely have his hand amputated after a pipe bomb he was making exploded.
He shoulda followed the RCMP's advice
and so it goes...
