Strata bylaws are put in place to protect the value of neighbours property and keep the units looking good. I can't see how a Canadian flag detracts from the value or esthetic appeal of the units.


Like I said before it's not the flag that's the problem it's the fact that he mounted it on the front of his unit. Given the trouble people have had in BC with bad building envelopes I can see where the strata would be concerned about holes drilled in the building.

Either way the whole thing is a tempest in a teapot and you'd think they'd be able to resolve it without having the whole thing show up on the six o'clock news.

Eight year old children have more CDF than these people.

I think displaying patriotism should trump any condo-laws especially in this day and age.
