Considering the province is going to be spending $25 million in TAXPAYER DOLLARS to make the tarsands look good, it's fair game.

I guess we should have just wagged our fingers at Exxon too. And CN. So there's some oil in some water. BFD. Happens all the time.

Happens all the time but this one is focused on. Why is that this incident was picked from the hundreds that happen all the time?

A tipster huh? Guess you have never been in a big mine,nothing can be kept quiet or hidden where the environments concerned.

I donno, but if it happens all the time, then it's an even bigger problem. This isn't trivial. This is real environmental impact. This isn't some esoteric talk of CO2 causing global warming, this is dead animals.

So why didn't Syncrude report it themselves, and at the very least try to salvage credibility by being honest and proactive?

No idea why they didnt,you can bet lots saw it and got it on film and lots were listening on their scanners like they do in mining towns so it's not like it was something you can hide.

They cant hide shit like that,too much monitoring by enviro groups.
