Physician, heal thyself?
My points are valid and backed with facts so you can refute them and prove me wrong or spin bullshit. It's obvious that you're only good for the last one.

ridenrain: Please read my posts. I know Canada considers Hezbollah a terrorist organization. I don't believe it fits the definition. What part do you find so hard to understand? Terrorist organizations target civilians, Hezbollah only targets military targets.
For the record, I am not a Hezbollah supporter or an Israel supporter.

It dosen't matter what you consider because the law is the law, and marching under a flag from hezbolla, Tamil Tiger, Sihk youth federation or any other group designated as terrorist shows a level of support of terrorism.
Feel free to lobby the government to have that changed but you might ask that you're palls stop shooting at us Canadians in the mean while.

Umm, there was no war, they were "captured" on their own soil, when there was no conflict taking place. This would be like US soldiers crossing the border to "capture" some of our air force pilots right now.

Ya, and it would be insulting to claim they were kidnapped.

Why would THAT be insulting? They would be kidnapped and held hostage, this is like saying the US embassy staff was being held as POWs by the Iranians

Except embassy staff are civilians, dumbass.
One question, how come you never hear of Palestinians being "kidnapped" by Israel?

Feel free to lobby the government to have that changed but you might ask that you're palls stop shooting at us Canadians in the mean while. "These people support a group deemed terrorists by the government, therefore they must support terrorism" - I don't mean to offend, but this statement demonstrates a very childish level of logical reasoning. commanderkai commanderkai: Umm, there was no war, they were "captured" on their own soil, when there was no conflict taking place. Do you honestly think this happened out of the blue? I'm not going to spell it out for you, but please read some background on the 2006 Lebanon war to get some context for the reasons for the attacks.
Lastly, after reading some other Israel/Palestine threads in this forum I think I will abstain from posting in these threads in the future. Everyone seems to have a strong opinion on this subject, and nobody seems to have half a clue about the history of it. I won't debate with people that can't even spell Israel properly, it's a waste of both our time.

Rationalist, I for one have enjoyed reading your posts. You can converse in a respectful, intellectual tone that I find somewhat lacking in this forum. I hope you don't give up sharing your opinion on account of just a few big mouths. -YD.

Rationalist:
Do you accept that Hezbullah is a terrorist organization in the eye’s of the Canadian government?
Since you don’t what to continue with the middle east, what about Indonesia?
$1: Italy's ambassador to Sri Lanka was treated for shrapnel injuries to the head today after three aircraft ferrying members of a high-level delegation came under artillery and mortar attack from Tamil Tiger rebels.
The audacious attack took place as two helicopters and a fixed wing aircraft bringing an international team led by Sri Lanka's disaster management and human rights minister, Mahinda Samarasinghe, from Colombo came in to land at a paramilitary base in Batticaloa district this morning.
Besides the Italian envoy, Pio Mariani, the delegation included ambassadors from the US, Germany, France, the EU and Japan, as well as the Canadian high commissioner and UN officials.

The results are the same. Useful idiots supporting terrorists abroad occasionally come back to bite us in the ass.

You moron, US embassies are guarded and garrisoned by US military personnel. So there, a case where soldiers can be hostages.
My God man, you're completely blinded by your ideological stance that you see a kidnapping as a military act, even when it was done by a criminal and terrorist organization
