Wouldnt it be nice if our great country could be Heroes to the rest of the world...going to every little shithole to stop people killing each other. Unfortunately we cant, we dont have the numbers, Even if you armed every man and women between 18 and 40 in this country we could not impose peace on the rest of the world.

The problem is that the majority of the countries in the UN and NATO have lost the will to do what is right in order to have peace. We cant do it alone.

I wish we could go to Africa but we cant do it alone.

The fact of the matter is that if we leave Afghanistan and no one replaces us that country will be in even more trouble. After more than 30 years of extremism under the soviets or taliban the average person in Afghanistan does not have the same national pride that we do here in Canada and it will take time to develop and it requires change and hope, Two things we in Canada can deliver.

I wish those other Nations in NATO would step up but we know they wont. It is a never ending cycle of which there is no escape which ever side of the argument that you support.

I was at a celebration in my home town today and there were military there doing displays and participating in activities.. they were handing out coffee and beignets... I asked some if they wanted to continue past 2009... only 2 said it didnt matter... most said no
