Yes the Italians are colourful warriors..........

But the Polish troops are not a Polish joke...

The Mil 17 is a tough well developed reliable bird...

[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mil_Mi-17] even saudi bought a bunch [/url]

......I would still sit on my helmet.........

As a male I can understand wanting all the latest and greatest war toys to play with but there are some here who sound quite pitiful.

It would seem compared to the enemy you have little reason to complain at least with regard to war machinery. How many planes, bombers, helos and etc. have the enemy? How many tanks or big guns? How many highly trained troops not counting the high tech stuff like satellites and etc.?

Can't help believing there are a lot of granddads rolling over in their graves when hearing the complaints of their grandchildren in terms of what equipment they have in comparison.

I worked with the Poles in Ethiopia during the famine.
Good guys. The Polish fighter pilots who faught with the RAF during the battle of Britain were legendary.

I think I'd rather fight with them than some of the other long time NATO allies that are currently drinking and whoring it up in safe barracks in Afghanistan while the Brits, Yanks and Canadians are kicking Tally arse.

I would hardly call this charity. Any country who is willing to step their game and go where Canada is, is more then welcome. Like Kaetz said, its a nice political gesture. I will be good for the Canadian troops to have some support. Regardless of their origine.
