The kids words are no more seditious than what we see around here all too often. If anything, he is at least honest in posting his genuine thoughts whereas too many people on this site waffle and prevaricate and pose as "patriots" all while advocating polices that would directly cause soldiers to die.
If that kid should be prosecuted then Streaker, Avro, Hurley, OPP, and etc. had best head for the hills.
And as much as I utterly disagree with those people on this kind of issue, I would take greater umbrage at their being prosecuted for not parroting the proper party line.
I'm honestly curious as to what policies I've advocated for here that would cause soldiers to die, short of believing that the dangerous, life-threatening job they're doing over in Afghanistan is a just and right one and that I hope the Army continues to do it, as I stated a few days ago.
My comment was NOT meant to be a criticism or an attack. The folks I listed are dissenting voices (in general) and if this Senator gets his way there will be a new
Human Rights Commission kind of witch hunt to persecute people who say or post things that the government majority doesn't like.
I may not always agree with what you say, but I damn well don't want to see you silenced because if you get silenced I know I'll be next.
