EyeBrock EyeBrock: You are surprised that the odd grammatically challenged pleb posts here? Chill out old chap. Perhaps I should, but I stand by my point. $1: Pulling people up on grammar and spelling is for school. Perhaps the poster speaks Canadian English as a second language, like I do? Again, perhaps he does. ryan29, is english your first or second language? $1: Surely NDP voters can appreciate the message even if it is lacking in grammatical prowess?
I hope, then, that you don't rag on Dion too hard for his less than perfect English...

Nope, I think dion is doing a great job at expressing himself in less than perfect English.
He's just a gift to us all.

Ripcat Ripcat: ridenrain ridenrain: Wow. Ripcat. No one has ever done that before. Yeah, its OK if the Conservatives do it, what with their platform of integrity and all....if the allegations are true I'll but it under Cons on my Pros and Cons list with the heading "Does the CPC really have more intergity than the Liberal Party".... What happened to your earlier statement? $1: Seriously, this better not turn into another vote bribe.
This is a CPC plan and it's probably going to depend on the CPC getting re-elected. That's a no-brainer, even for the dipper here. If the libs manage to win the election, they are definately free to pick up any good ideas and call them their own. Good ideas are good ideas and politcs shouldn't get in the way of that.
The reason I quoted that specific section was because I was worried that this would simply be another vote bribe to eastern provinces. The fact that every province is getting an equal amount shows makes me confidant that it's not going to be.
Untill I see proof opposite, this looks like a fair and equitable deal from Canada's best prime minister.

Yeah well most of these spelling cops have to use MS Office to check their posts and review others that way otherwise they would never notice.

$1: What does New Brunswick have to do with logging? Do they even have trees there, or is this just something off season fishermen came up with.
An honest question! However, as one who has driven through most of Canada in a venue which facilitates observation better than a motorcar.....New Brunswick is more into forestry than is casually noticed most other places.....even BC. Not seeing the monsters seen in BC but a lot of rigs hauling long sticks and many basket rigs carrying chips from the saw-mills to the pulp mills. The aroma of fresh chips is detectable a km back---and I smoke (which most would say inhibits my smeller).
Taking a shortcut at Grandfalls through Plaster Rock I finally saw some fields of the famous potatoes. The general impression of New brunswick is forest.

I say this with the greatest respect:
You, sir. Are on crack!
As a sportsman, I have trudged a great deal of property, up to Prince George and that's still only 1/2 the province of BC. To quote the SCTV episode where the C3P procgram, "what fits in mother russia" Little New Brunswick is simply lost in the enormous province of British Columbia. It is to laugh.
All of you'te trees would not dent the ammount that we throw away in our Rickshaw Buffets in oneday.

Nice try... Harper makes the announcement for aid to areas affected by the rising loonie and the poor US ecomomy ... how lovely.. but there is a catch folks..usual tory crap... he is using a little coercion.... the oppostion parties will have to support the tory budget before he gives out any cash... go figure.. from his meeting with the provinical premiers.. '.They said the $1 billion is a fraction of what's needed. And they continued yesterday to criticize Harper for saying the money won't start flowing unless opposition parties agree to pass the next federal budget weeks from now.
time to turf this bozo out of office wouldnt you think? hmm

this will help send harper packing ...OTTAWA - NDP Leader Jack Layton says Stephen Harper is trying to "blackmail" opposition MPs by tying a $1-billion aid package for beleaguered workers and industries to passage of the next Conservative budget.

The aid, announced by the prime minister last week, appears to be motivated more by political gamesmanship than by a sincere desire to help, Layton told a news conference

"After two years of refusing to meet with Canada's premiers, the most he (Harper) could offer was a dinner and a promise to send them a letter with his thoughts on how the first ministers could stimulate their economies," Dion said in a written statement issued by his office in Ottawa.
"This government only knows how to improvise and hope nobody notices."
hmmm ... people notice

layton can say what he wants , but this offer of aid is a genuine attempt to help the situation .
and if the opposition would rather force a costly election instead well then they can explain to workers why they would prefer to do that instead .

and what other plan does the opposition have for this problem if any ?

the fact is the fact .. he is holding the opposition parties and the Canadian people hostage and blackmailing them.. esp those effected by job loss.. typical tory shit...he is ignoring the economic problems facing Canada and his shell out of the tax breaks is going to come back to bite him..he didnt reduce the GST for the average canadian athough he made it sound good with his TV commericials.. he did it for the wealthy and big business who benefit the most... he and his cronies have fucked canadians royally and you would support them?
get counseling now you need it bad
