Not much of a safety problem here. It's mainly a bunch of politically apointed bureaucrats getting pissy because their latest edicts have not been followed to the letter.

It's sorta like a Health Ministry bureaucrat parking an ambulance on call because the crew hadn't yet had their new monthly medical instead of the previous 3 month interval.

This is not the AECL but the CNCS
whose qualifications seem to be hard to establish.

These new CNSC standards are to met a possible seismic of 5.5......unlikely in the monolithic Canadian Shield.

This decision to reopen was supported by Common consensus. The senate was brought to heel somehow by Ignatiev, because they planed to block this just to be pissy......perhaps one of them needed a CAT-scan...........

Every difficult situation is an opportunity in disguise but this seems to be an opportunity squandered in blame games and meaningless spin doctoring by tory leadership and supporters alike. This medical isotope was a bottleneck and was bound to happen sooner or later so it wasn't a surprise to all but the most unprepared as only one reactor makes them. Decisive action, not finger pointing is what the people of Canada are expecting here. My nieces who are 7 and 5 years old are more mature than how this government is handling the situation.

When did you start watching Canadian politics? It's always been like this. I supose it's such a tight market with such
Canadians don't apear able to root for a winner and always chose to drag down anyone that stands apart or different.
